Impact of Alcohol During Pregnancy

There are many reasons why people may drink alcohol during pregnancy.

Some examples include: Misinformation, lack of prenatal care resources, around half of pregnancies are unplanned, most people don’t know there pregnant for at least 6 weeks, substance use disorders/addiction, cultural differences, mental or physical health conditions.

It is important to acknowledge there is no known safe amount of alcohol during pregnancy or when trying to get pregnant. There are no safe times to drink throughout pregnancy.
